Hazards, Disasters, and Catastrophes

While these three words may have very similar meanings, they are all different!. A hazard, whether big or small, is any type of danger that might hurt someone or something. A disaster is a completely sudden event that occurs that causes damage to people, animals, and the planet. A disaster results in immense loss because of it. Lastly, a catastrophe is a type of disaster. It is a circumstance that can cause great loss, panic, and damage.
